Food Kitchen Print E-mail

Hot Lunch Service, Inc. (formerly St. Mary's Food Kitchen), is located in the Willa Gill Multi-Purpose Center, 645 Nebraska, Kansas City, KS. The kitchen has provided noon meals for the needy of the city's east side since February 1982. The service is open every day of the year. Groups from several denominations of churches and various organizations prepare meals and serve them on designated days. Our parish day at the kitchen is the third Wednesday of each month. Several parishioners donate casseroles and cash, and many go on our designated day to serve.

St. Mary's Food Kitchen was the first free food kitchen in Kansas City. The service is now the largest in the metro area.
