Seniors meet the 2nd Thursday of the month at the Knights of Columbus Dolan Hall. The Johnson County Nurses Association as a free service takes blood pressures. Potluck lunch is served at 11:30 am, followed by a business meeting and Bingo. Short trips are taken from time to time, and other activities are planned. The ladies in the club take great pride in their knitting and make beautiful items that are donated to the Christmas Bureau. Every two years a memorial service is held for all deceased members of the group. There are no membership dues and the organization is open to any senior resident of Shawnee regardless of religion.
